(Map Viewing Area before adjusting gray bars)

2.  Click on the corner of the border and drag the window to the left. Experiment with this to see how it works best. You will not loose any map area. It will keep the same aspect ratio.

Local Window Management

A Windowing environment (9 Buttons) provides for the management of windows by the user.  The following is a brief synopsis of the window icons used to locally manage your windows.  To use an icon, simply “click” on it with the Left Mouse button.

1. A "toggle" switch for the Raster Manager.  It turns raster images off/on as background to the maps.  This icon is used for using aerial photographs as background to the maps once they become available.

2. Used to turn off Zoom Controls on Graphic Screen.

3. Restore the map to its original size.

4. Toggle between the last two windows viewed by the local manager. (i.e. zoomed in  -to- zoomed out and back again)

5.   ZOOM-IN (for close-up viewing).  Clicking on this icon creates a little box which you should "rubber-band" (click-slide-release) for area to zoom in on.

6. Change the center of area zoomed in on.  Click on icon, then click on zoomed in map.

7.  Create and manage multiple windows.  This should not be used while in PAGIS because the amount of resources used will slow your system down.

8.  Interrupt and stop drawing of the map.
